📢 Parent Update: CyberSWAT Online Safety Lessons
West Virginia now requires all public schools to provide annual online‑safety instruction for students in grades 3–12 under Senate Bill 466. Parents who would like to read the bill can find it here:
Senate Bill 466
To meet this requirement, our students will be completing CyberSWAT Skyll lessons—interactive, age‑appropriate sessions that teach safe and responsible technology use.
These lessons address several important topics, including:
Recognizing online predators
Understanding the risks of sexting or sharing explicit materials
Cyberbullying prevention
Human trafficking awareness
Safe use of online communication platforms
How to identify, avoid, and report dangerous or illegal online behavior
The parent letter has been sent home with 6-12th grade students and will be sent home with grades 3-5 next week. It explains that the SWAT program provides interactive lessons focused on digital literacy and online safety.
Parents can preview a sample lesson here:
CyberSWAT Sample Lesson
Thank you for partnering with us to help keep students safe as they navigate today’s digital world.

Bus 21 will be delayed due to a line down on Sassafras. This will require the bus to back track, creating a 30 min delay for students who live on Russett/Rt 7.

This week’s Eagle’s Nest Student of the Week is…
✨Madelyn McGuire✨
We’re so proud of this student’s dedication!
At the end of each week, we’ll continue randomly recognizing students with strong attendance, so keep showing up and doing your best—your name might be next!
#PHEStrong #EaglesNest #AttendanceMatters #PleasantHillProud #MissingSchool=MissingOut

Our 180-day waiver request for Calhoun County has been approved by the West Virginia Department of Education. This means we will not have to make up any additional days that were missed due to weather.
The students’ last day of school will remain the same as the approved 2025–2026 school calendar.
📅 The last day for students will be May 29th.
If you have questions, feel free to reach out to your school’s main office.
